What We Do
Visually Inspired Foundation supports community-centered storytelling through three interconnected initiatives designed to build narrative power, expand opportunity, and uplift local voices.
We provide micro-grants and finishing funds to help projects reach completion and maximize their impact. One of our goals is to ensure meaningful projects are completed, launched, and seen. We help directors, artists, and creatives strengthen community around their project. Working in collaboration with artists, small businesses, and community groups, we help partners reach broader audiences and increase visibility through intentional, value-driven campaigns.

We support the creatives behind the work. Through mentorship, wellness-centered programming, and professional development, we help artists remain grounded, present, and capable of leading their stories into the public sphere.
We connect emerging filmmakers and creatives to paid, hands-on production and storytelling opportunities. Through real-world experience, mentorship, and fair compensation, we strengthen the creative workforce and expand access to sustainable careers.
Our Values
1. Care over competition.
2. Sustainability for the artist, not just the project.
3. Stories rooted in lived experiences.
4. Completion is a form of equity.
Who We Support
We serve multidisciplinary artists of color nationwide. This includes filmmakers, visual artists, writers, and storytellers whose work is rooted in lived experience, cultural identity, and community impact.
Founders Statement
Visually Inspired Foundation was born from the understanding that sometimes the hardest part of making something meaningful is the final stretch.
"After creating films rooted in grief, healing, and social impact, I saw how many powerful stories were left unfinished because they ran out of time, money, or support. I also noticed the need for care of the artists doing the work."
- Chezik Tsunoda, Founder
We exist to be a place of pause, encouragement, and possibility—offer finishing funds (and community) for filmmakers and artists who are close to the finish line and deserve to be seen.
